I was working on Death's bio a few weeks ago and found myself imagining the difficulties of living with a hellhound. Finding dog hair in your food is just one of many scenarios that came to mind. Don't ask how Death eats without a bottom jaw, or where the food goes. His fellow horsemen of the apocalypse will tell you it is quite disturbing to watch.
It is much easier to draw expressions on Death's chibi version, but I seem to getting the hang of adding expression to immobile features. And yes, I changed Barghest's colors again. He is now white because I am working on a version of hellhounds that don't follow the stereotypes.
Materials: copy paper, mechanical pencil. Corel PE for Death and Barghest. GIMP and a photo found online for the background.
I take it that Death himself (itself?), has decided to forgo the iconic depiction of wearing a hooded cowl and long robe for a more "contemporary" look of a hoodie and dark trousers.
And yes, how would he be able to eat sans a manible?
Liquid diet perhaps ...
Yep, he moves with the times, but still sticks with black.
Well, his electromagnetic field still thinks the mandible (and other organs) is there (like a ghost limb) and he is able to chew. He doesn't need to eat, but likes to. It makes watching him eat incredibly 'icky' because everyone gets to see the food being chewed and swallowed. Think of it like those 'invisible man' science models.
