Description
This one is by Kiilan, and it is one of her very first attempts at photomanipulation! I will let her tell you about it:
"I always wanted to do a realistic looking Death and Barghest based on Nashiil's characters. It was a lot of work trying to find sources that matched! Death-kun's hoodie and pants are all from the same source image. His Domo-kun t-shirt is a separate image, along with his skull and wings. I was lucky enough to find a skull that kind of matched with the light source of the hoodie. I took a little artistic license with the shackle that Death-kun wears on his left wrist. It's supposed to be a plain, old-fashioned prison shackle, but I found a really awesome leather cuff with gold studs that looked pretty darn cool. (Sorry, Nashiil!) Finding sources for cervical vertebrae (so his dome wouldn't look like it was floating in a black void) was by far the hardest thing to find, but I eventually found one. Also, his hands had to be pieced together because I could not find a skeleton hand that matched the angle I needed.
Barghest was the easiest of the characters to put together, since he required only three source images and a few smoke brushes. He didn't require a whole lot of adjusting. I used a smoke cloud source image for the wreath of smoke around his neck instead of just painting it in, then used a few wispy smoke brushes to finish it up.
I added a merry-go-round in the background for fun, just to show that Death likes to go out and have fun too. I finished it all up with a few lighting effects."

I didn't realize this was a photo-manipulation until I read the description. I mean, I didn't inspect it to thoroughly at first, but still.
My point is, very nice.
...Also an excuse for me not realizing is that I just worked retail for 5 hours.
